A species recently introduced to this area, the Applegate ValleyCat is a two-legged mammal that can be found singing, or playing bass or guitar or keyboard, in groups of three or four, most typically in a jazz or popular style, with occasional forays into the highbrow world of classical music. The group currently making their way around the Applegate Valley are cool cats indeed, consisting of professional singer and has-been innkeeper, Kristi Cowles, nimble-fingered bass/guitarist and has-been linguist and unemployed builder, Clint Driver, fledgling keyboardist and has-been lawyer, Priscilla Weaver, and, when we are lucky, another has-been lawyer and not-has-been soprano who can no longer remain anonymous, Mary Driver.
